Chapters

CSSL chapters are to provide a platform for CSSL members to enhance their professional interest working in a group of professionals with similar interests. Chapters would help CSSL to make more opportunities for the members to contribute, expand membership, and to strengthen CSSL activities and its presence among professionals. Chapter members will collectively decide on the professional activities to be carried out by each chapter and members taking the responsibility to implement the activities will form the chapter leadership team, who will coordinate with CSSL Chapters Project Chairperson. Following is a brief description of the existing/proposed chapters.

CSSL Young Professionals Chapter

CSSL has formed a Young IT Professionals chapter to provide a forum for the young IT Professionals to improve and share knowledge on specific subject matters by organizing workshops, educational programs, publications, newsletters, etc. The forum can also discuss issues pertaining to this segment specifically and also do activities that help each other.

The youth is the future of any industry. Thus, the CSSL would like to create opportunities for young people to come forward and take a leadership role. With this in mind, we are rolling out a Young IT Professionals chapter in Sri Lanka.

Therefore, CSSL would like to invite those who are interested to join and also to lead Young IT professionals chapter of CSSL. Although there is no strict rule, we would prefer those who are under the age of 35 to be part of this group.

CSSL Women in ICT Chapter

One of the perceptions of the Sri Lanka ICT sector is that, it is a male dominated industry and strategies should be in place to lure females into the sector. CSSL Women in ICT Chapter is to encourage females to select ICT as a career and to encourage the female professionals to achieve their dreams.

CSSL has a Women in ICT Chapter to provide a forum for the Women IT Professionals to improve and share knowledge on specific subject matters by organizing workshops, educational programs, publications, newsletters, etc. The forum can also discuss womens Leadership Development, Career Paths, Challenges & Barriers and contribution in ICT industry in Sri Lanka and other issues pertaining to this segment specifically and also do activities that help each other.

The CSSL women in ICT Chapter creates opportunities for women who are in IT to come forward and creates a forum where they can take a leadership role.

Sponsors are invited to support this chapter and have an opportunity to reach your target market. Annual chapter sponsorship packages or event sponsorship packages are available for negotiation.
